A Quick Background
My name is Amri Lopez. I am a mom, a girlfriend, and a sonographer by trade. When I was younger I wanted to become an art teacher but I found out I was pregnant at 17. I knew that I needed to build myself up and find stability. I had a high risk pregnancy that resulted in weekly ultrasounds. I started to consider the feild and ask the sonographers how they liked there job. Everyone I spoke with had nothing but positive things to say. One thing that everyone stated was how hard ultrasound school was.
I did my reseach and found a program that I liked. The program had long hours and was extremly grueling. I do not know how I did it but i made it through. Now I always recommend the field to anyone who is not sure about a career path but wants to be in the medical field. I have now officially been working as a sonographer for 5 years now!
